Day 1:Phare, The Cambodian Circus
-Arrived at my hotel around 6 pm. Checked-in, freshened up a little then took a tuktuk to the Phare. I got there before 7:30 pm. So I had enough time to enjoy the food booth before the show
(8 pm). The show lasted for an hour.
My tuktuk offered to come back for me after the show, so I didn't have to spend time booking for one after the show. There are some other tuktuks waiting after the show tho, but prices might be higher.
Day 2:
APOPO Visitor Center- Go and Visit the HeroRats! Giant pouched rats trained to detect landmines/bombs from the war. They have saved a lot of people and helped return farmlands to local farmers! Definitely a MUST visit!
Angkor National Museum- Artifacts dug out(or stilen and returned) from the Angkor Wat Temples. If youre into detailed historical facts, this is for you😅
War Museum Cambodia- A few km far from the city, but if youre into war armaments, take a visit. Sadly it seemed unkept. Still cool to see the actual tanks, artilleriesb, weapons etc. from the war. $5 entrance fee.
Made in Cambodia Market- High quality items made by local artists. Might not be the cheapest place to buy souvenirs but for a good cause, and like I said, high quality.
Day 3:Angkor Wat
Took a 9 hour to the temples. Opted for the sunrise tour but unfortunately didn't get a good view of the sunrise😭
The temples made up for it tho. definitely a majestic place. Make sure to wear your walking shoes and bring a hat! There's a looooot of walking under the scorching sun!
Overall a nice solo experience!
