The Royal Sands Koh Rong, Cambodia

The Royal Sands Koh Rong, a 5-star resort and one of the best resort in Koh Rong Island in Cambodia. The clear blue water with exceptional cleanliness and service provided is worth the money. It is like Maldives in Cambodia; it has the best white sand beach and clear blue water you ever find in Cambodia.


Best months to visit: Nov - Apr (the driest month) and also the peak season month. For more affordable stay, consider staying during the shoulder month between the rainy and dry season, around End of Oct or early May where there might be a slight chance of rain but the resort usually provides a more affordable discount package (e.g. $290 resident package for Cambodian citizen, which includes round trip shared boat transfer and a choose of 1 set of dinner or lunch for 2). Look out for discounts.


Location: Koh Rong island, approximately 30-40 min by speedboat (it's a private speedboat only for the resort's customers).


The food: this resort is very private, so besides eating in the resort, hard to find any other place to eat. But the quality of the food is excellent.

Activities: there are many activities you can do in the resort for free, like kayaking, volley ball...but you can also pay extra for the snorkeling trip (around $40/person).

I highly recommend this resort if you are visiting Cambodia and want to experience the best beach in Cambodia. We went there 3 times already as a family, and still we love to go there again. #familytrip #beach
