Furton Hotel Singapore, Nearly 100 Years of Historical and Cultural Architecture

On your last day in Singapore, check into The Fullerton Hotel Singapore - a historical building that experienced World War II and nearly a century of Singaporean culture.

Room type: River view room
Recommended: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Transportation: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (open air, inconvenient if it rains)

The hotel is located at 1 Fullerton Square, just walk along the Singapore River after exiting the MRT station.

The appearance looks classic and British style.
To my surprise, there was no one at the entrance to help me with my luggage. I had to take the stairs.
For a five-star hotel, this shouldn't be the case.

When checking in, the staff said that you have to add money to upgrade the room and check in immediately, otherwise you have to wait. Finally, I added money.

The room is quite large and there are stairs leading to the bedroom.
Although it is not a suite, it looks a bit luxurious.
The ceiling of the room is high, but the windows are thin and the view is average.
I like the furniture here and the room card is of good quality.

There is filtered water available in the restrooms which is a good idea.
But hygiene in using filtered water is an issue. When I checked in, I saw some guests also taking free bottles of water from downstairs.

There is a large space underground of the hotel, which is famous for the post office and the underground passage leading to the Marina Bay Merlion Park.

After returning, the room did not provide turndown service, which is a bit disappointing for a five-star hotel.

All in all, the hotel's history and culture can be felt from the exterior, and the interior is also very bright. However, considering the price, I believe there are more and better hotels to choose from.
