Ever since Artscience Museum announced they will be having the World of Studio Ghibli Exhibition, I was glued to their instagram page looking out for ticket-selling announcements. Experiencing it first-hand at Bangkok last 2023, I was so excited to see it again with my sister in here in Singapore. I wanted to see what could be the differences from the one in Bangkok.
In Singapore, there's a complimentary activity for ticket holders, the adventure stamp trail. Just collect 4 stamps from 4 different locations in Marina Bay Sands and Artscience Museum, and you'll get free photobooth pictures! At one stamp stop, you can get free seedlings too. Another difference is the lack of stamps after each Studio Ghibli film section. But there are about 3 in-gallery activities you can do that were not available in Bangkok: origami, drawing soots, and thaumatrope. Basically all the film showcases are the same except there's one section missing, the making of the films which was my favorite in the Bangkok one. The merch shop was also not as extensive as the one in Bangkok.
Overall, I still enjoyed it a lot because of the new experiences. We went on a weekday since we expect it will be crowded on weekends. The exhibition ends on Feb 2025!
