Beton Road|A More Niche Nanyang Scenic Spot Compared to Purvis Street

#SingaporeItinerary
While citywalking in Singapore, I came across Beton Road, a hidden and less popular photo spot in Singapore😯
But every shot looks amazing! It’s truly a photography paradise~

✨The shophouses were built in the 1920s-1930s, with an elegant and understated atmosphere, focusing on detailed carvings and tile decorations, blending European neoclassical and Peranakan decorative styles.
·
The exterior walls of the street buildings are inlaid with Peranakan tiles featuring peonies and peacocks, combined with European geometric lines, creating a unique "Nanyang Baroque" style💕
·
📷Photo spots

1. The bench at the street corner is perfect for a shot

2. Use the greenery🪴 as the foreground or background for photos to bring them to life~

3. The street’s Nanyang-style floral tiles are also very photogenic

💡Tips
1️⃣Morning and dusk are the best times for shooting, with softer light
2️⃣Vintage, artistic, and flashy clothes💃 all look great in photos
3️⃣Residents live on the street, so please keep your voice down while taking photos to avoid disturbing others

📍Address: Beton Road
🚇Transport: Farrer Park MRT Station
