Hello~ When in Singapore, how can you not stop by this spot! This is Merlion Park, the number one landmark of this country~ 🇸🇬✨
📍 It is located by Marina Bay, very easy to get to. Just take the MRT to Raffles Place station and then walk about 5-10 minutes to reach it.
The highlight here is the Merlion statue, a creature with a lion's head and a fish's body, which is a symbol of Singapore.
• Lion's head = represents the name Singapore, which comes from the word ‘Singapura’ meaning Lion City
• Fish body = represents Singapore’s roots as a fishing village
This place is beautiful both day and night. During the day, you get natural light, but if you come at night, you’ll see the sparkling cityscape with cool breezes by the water. The atmosphere is wonderful~ super romantic. It’s a perfect place to stroll, enjoy the breeze, take photos, or just sit quietly and watch the Marina Bay view for a different kind of chill.
If you’re visiting Singapore, don’t forget to pin this spot on your list because Merlion Park is a check-in point that has it all: views, history, and atmosphere~ 📍🦁🌊
