The charm of Kampong Glam neighborhood, Muscat Street Art must-visit

This set of photos was taken on Muscat Street near Masjid Sultan (Sultan Mosque) in the Kampong Glam area.
This neighborhood holds great cultural and historical significance, especially for the Malay and Muslim communities in Singapore.
The importance of this place:
#KampongGlam was once the residential area of the Malay Sultan and the Muslim community.
#It features a harmonious blend of Malay-Arab-Persian art, culture, and lifestyle.
(Masjid Sultan) is a key landmark, beautiful and the center of the Muslim community in Singapore.
(The Street Art) seen in the photos is part of storytelling about the community’s past and vividly represents the traditional lifestyle of Kampong Glam residents.
Why you should check in here:
📸 Beautiful and unique street art, perfect for social media photos

🚇 MRT (most convenient) #We traveled from Chinatown
1. Enter Chinatown MRT station DT19/NE4
2. Take the Downtown Line (blue line) towards Expo
3. Ride 5 stops → get off at Bugis DT14 (also connects to East-West Line)
4. Exit at B or E, walk along Victoria St → see the golden dome of Sultan Mosque, continue walking ~500 m to Muscat St
9-10 minutes • ≈ SGD 1.20-1.50
Little tips
#The street art corner is on the green wall along Muscat St, best to shoot in the morning or after rain for vibrant colors 📸 (we took ours in the morning)
#If you want to enter the mosque, you must remove your shoes and dress modestly (cover cloths are available to borrow)
#Walk 150 m further to Haji Lane to find hip cafes and plenty of local design shops
Personally, I really like Kampong Glam. There are many photo spots. I love the shops selling decorative lamps and Arab rugs.
