Wen'anyi Ancient Town, located 15 kilometers west of Yanchuan City in Yan'an, Shaanxi Province, boasts a history of over 1,400 years. Centered around the ancient Wen'anyi Post Station and encompassing the original village community, the town is dedicated to preserving its ancient character and showcasing its rich cultural heritage.
The Wen'anyi Ancient Town Cultural Park also encompasses Liangjiahe. Positioned as a base for revolutionary tradition and patriotic education, the Liangjiahe rural tourism project draws inspiration from the lives of educated youth sent to work in the countryside from 1969 to 1975. The park features restored examples of the educated youth dam, biogas tanks, and blacksmith shops built by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his time as Party Secretary in Liangjiahe Village, showcasing life during that era.
In addition to the cave dwellings and post station culture of northern Shaanxi, the Wen'an Post Station Scenic Area also recreates the scenes of Beijing's former rural residents, who worked and lived there. The Zhizhi Dam, blacksmith shop, and biogas tank evoke a time when great achievements were made in the vast world.
