🛫 Plaza Premium Lounge (International Departures, Terminal 1 SG) – Good Food, Great People

We used the Plaza Premium Lounge at Terminal 1 before our flight to Bangkok, and I’m so glad we did. The lounge itself was nicely set up — clean, with a good number of seats and a more peaceful vibe compared to the bustling terminal outside.

Food-wise, it was slightly better than what you’d typically get at SATS lounges. A decent selection of hot dishes, snacks, and drinks — nothing over-the-top, but more than enough for a satisfying pre-flight meal.

But what truly made the visit special was the service — especially from Uncle Tony, one of the staff there. He was incredibly warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our time in the lounge. The way he greeted guests, checked in with us, and made sure everyone was comfortable really stood out. It’s rare to meet someone who genuinely enjoys their job and treats every traveller with such kindness.

Honestly, the food and facilities were good — but Uncle Tony’s hospitality made it memorable. It’s that kind of human touch that turns a simple lounge stop into a positive part of your travel experience.
