🇸🇬🇹🇭 Genting Dream 4D3N Phuket Cruise

Here comes the most relaxing trip of the year! In September, I took my parents and child aboard the Genting Dream, with a stop in Phuket along the way.

🛳️ Day 1
9:20 am: Arrived at Marina Cruise Centre.
10:30 am: Boarded with the first batch. Rooms weren’t ready yet, but luggage could be dropped off inside.
Headed straight to Deck 16 to take photos at the pool and sports area while they were still empty, then went to the buffet restaurant for lunch.
After settling the family, I immediately went to Deck 6 to arrange Wi-Fi and book the next day’s Phuket shore excursion.
✅ Tip: Visit Deck 17 for the zipline and rock climbing (3–6 pm). Fewer people on Day 1!

🇹🇭 Day 2 – Phuket
Ship docked at 4:00 pm.
That day, an Indonesian boat in distress was spotted and swiftly rescued by the cruise—what a moment of compassion!
✅ Shore excursion: visited a temple, a cashew nut factory (the snacks were great), and Central Phuket shopping mall.

🛳️ Day 3
Remember to settle your bill and collect passports early at Deck 6.
Check the daily program for free shows. We watched Harmony, a mix of acrobatics and musical performances—worth it!

🛳️ Day 4
Ship docked at 11:30 am. Disembarkation was smooth, queueing in order at the theatre.

🍴 Dining Highlights
✅ Deck 16 – Lido Buffet: Mostly Halal/Indian cuisine. Very crowded.
✅ Deck 8 – Dream Dining (Upper): Western cuisine.
✅ Deck 7 – Dream Dining (Lower): Chinese dishes, very tasty.
✅ Deck 15 – Oasis: Beautiful setting; great place for a kid’s birthday celebration.
✅ Deck 5 – Banquet Hall No. 8: Breakfast buffet with porridge.
✅ Deck 6 – Blue Lagoon: Local flavors, free during certain hours (we missed it!).
✅ Deck 16 (3:30–4:30 pm): Free afternoon tea, no keycard required.

📒 Extra Notes
Deck 8 aft has a beautiful view and is usually quiet. There’s also a paid gelato counter.
Service charge: SGD 33 per person per day (kids included).
The ship uses two ports in Phuket depending on the season:
May–Sept (Monsoon season): Deep Sea Port (with night market).
Oct–Mar: Patong Bay (requires tender boats to land).
