Huanglong National Park

Huanglong National Park
or Yellow Dragon Valley

is a World Heritage Site in the northwest of Sichuan Province, China.
It was registered as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site in 1992.
According to legend, Emperor Yu, the first emperor of the Xia Dynasty, once came here to alleviate flooding and rode a Yellow Dragon.
After completing his mission, the Yellow Dragon left his Dragon Palace to live in the human world and built this beautiful 'Jade Pool'.

During the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), the Huanglong Temple was built to worship the Yellow Dragon. Since then,

The multi-colored pools cascading down in layers, when viewed from a distance, look like golden dragons that twist and turn amidst the green trees and soar towards the snow-capped mountains all year round.

The beauty of the Huanglong Stream, with its thousands of pools of beautiful colors, attracts many tourists to visit throughout the year.
