I must say that it was very tiring and draining my energy from traveling through traffic jams and air pollution in Jakarta, Indonesia. So when the electric train was first launched, we had to try it out.

Jakarta MRT is Jakarta's elevated and underground electric train. It was first opened in March 2018. Currently, only one line has been completed. It does not cover Jakarta, but there are plans to expand it in the future. This makes the number of passengers still seem thin, and the systems may not be in place or not very reasonable. But let's try it.

#Ticket purchase steps
1. Go to the ticket machine in the station, press to select English

2. Select the number of travelers

3. Select the ticket type, divided into

- Single Trip ticket, a single trip ticket, cannot be topped up, has a card fee of 15,000 IDR (can refund the fee when wanting to return the card)

- Multi trip ticket, which can be used for multiple trips, can top up the fare on the card, and has a card fee of 25,000 IDR (cannot refund the card fee or remaining fare on the card)

4. Press to top up the card There are fixed prices to choose from, such as 10,000 / 20,000 / 30,000 and so on.

For example, if you want to travel from the origin station to the destination with a fare of 14,000 IDR, you have to top up a total of 20,000 plus a card fee of 25,000, totaling 45,000 IDR (the receipt does not specify the card fee of 25,000 IDR, which may confuse tourists).

5. Receive the ticket and change in coins only.

6. Tap the card at the entrance to board the train. The reader will show how much money is left on the card, and before exiting at the destination station, tap the card again.
