A shrine where the origin of the place name "Sumoto" remains

The main deity is the Kasuga Four Pillars of God. The plaque on the torii gate reads "Sumoto Daimyojin," while a stone monument at another entrance reads "Sumoto Shrine," and a sign next to that reads "Sumoto Myojin Shrine," so confusion is inevitable. The Hyogo Prefectural Shrine Association website says Kasuga Shrine.
The shrine's history goes back to its origins as an ancient shrine in Sumoto, also known as Sumoto Daimyojin and Niida no Gosha Myojin. One theory is that the place name Sumoto originated from this shrine. Be sure to check it out.
