The Retreat Garden in Tongli Ancient Town emerges beautifully in the darkness of night.

China boasts numerous gardens, but if you want to experience the serene and elegant beauty of nighttime, the Retreat Garden in Tongli Ancient Town is highly recommended. 😌

I visited on a Sunday night, and perhaps because the following day was a weekday, the place was quite empty, allowing for a leisurely exploration.

If you have time, the best way to enjoy your visit is to enter the garden between 4 PM and 5 PM and savor the transition from dusk to nighttime in the Retreat Garden!

In May, there were quite a few mosquitoes, so don't forget to bring insect repellent spray! Also, since re-entry with the same ticket is not allowed, it might be a good idea to bring a light jacket or something similar.
