Taichung Attractions - Xinshe Flower Sea

Xinshe Flower Sea is a flower scenic area in central Taiwan, located in Xinshe Community, Taichung City, and is the second nursery operated by the Council of Agriculture Seedling Improvement and Propagation Farm.
The nursery was established in 1915 and is a static product left over from the Japanese colonial period. The original purpose of setting up the Da Nan Zhuang Sugarcane Seedling Cultivation Center was to plant sugarcane seedlings for the purpose of testing and improving the sugarcane seedlings for reproduction.
Xinshe Flower Sea is located in the Da Nan River Stage of the Xinshe River Stage Group. During the Japanese colonial period, sugar cane was the main crop planted there. It relied on the Bai Leng Canal to intercept water from the Da Jia River for irrigation, which created the current Da Nan Zhuang Flower Sea Nursery.
