One of the venues for this year's #TaiwanCultureExpo is the youthful city-designated historic site #XizhuweizhiqiuCultureExpo. It is a cultural and creative community consisting of the #FormerTainanGovernor'sResidence and the #FormerTainanFirstHighSchoolTeachers'Dormitories. It was renovated and reopened in 2020. It was curated by the Cultural Expo with the theme of #ReadComicsToGainKnowledge, which is quite interesting!

Because it is adjacent to the school dormitory complex, the Tainan Governor's Residence looks very much like a principal's office, with old-fashioned leather sofas and a long wooden table with a few pots of flowers on the table, giving it the solemn feeling of a governor's office.

However, the surrounding area is a high school for boys full of vigor and vitality on one side, and an entertainment street full of food, drink and entertainment on the other side, which creates a strong sense of conflict with the historic official residence, and thus sparks of cultural and creative industries!

The staff dormitory complex of South No. 1 Middle School appears to be very simple. The pure white two-story school building has been converted into a cultural and creative base. With the decoration of a large number of design installations, colorful graffiti and plants, it is full of literary and artistic flavor.

This time, Xizhuwei Hill is themed #ReadComicsToLearnKnowledge, and has planned a series of activities with Taiwanese comics as elements, including Taiwanese comics time exhibition, Manman Talk Lectures, Face Painting, Theme Workshops, Picnic Market, Replica Comics Rental Store and Comics Convenience Store, etc., and with the super cute mascot #巷仔niau in charge, it is also quite eye-catching!
