Beef Shacha Hotpot + Egg Dumplings $550

We came for dinner around 5pm on a weekday. There were only three or four tables full, making it easy to find a seat at this alleyway hotpot restaurant.

We simply ordered a beef Shacha Hotpot and an egg dumpling. The Shacha Hotpot comes with a basic plate, which already includes some hotpot ingredients and a portion of beef, so we didn't add any extra ingredients.

The broth was a bit on the lighter side, and each person received a bowl of Shacha sauce. It wasn't too salty or overpowering. Chili peppers, chopped green onions, and minced garlic were also available at the counter.

The beef in the base dish was a bit dry and tough. I didn't add more beef because I was worried I wouldn't be able to finish it. I wonder if adding more beef would have made it better?
