Not Europe, but Taiwan

When visiting the Chi Mei Museum, most people might mistake it for a European art palace, filled with classical sculptures and paintings, creating a solemn atmosphere like a European palace. However, as one delve deeper into the collection, one discovers its scope far surpasses that of a typical art museum. The founder of the Chi Mei Museum, Mr. Xu Wenlong, was an entrepreneur and founder of hospitals and factories. However, his deeper conviction was that "good things shouldn't be reserved for the few, but should be shared by everyone." This commitment to providing Taiwanese children and the public with access to world-class art and culture without having to travel to Europe became the foundation of the Chi Mei Museum.

Beyond sculptures and paintings, the Chi Mei Museum's collection also encompasses traditional weapons from various countries. The sharp spears, shields, swords, and guns gleam with history in glass cases, like a silent chronicle of civilization. Afterward, one can pause in the taxidermy exhibits.

Waiting for dusk to take photos outdoors is truly breathtaking, rivaling even those in Europe.
