Zhuanlun Rock, also known as Lingyan, is located south of Meijiang Town, Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province. Its highest point is 620 meters above sea level, rising from the southern edge of the Meijiang Basin. Standing at the foot of the rock and looking up, it resembles a thumbs-up sign. From the top, gazing out, Zhoushang Village, 50 miles away, comes into view, the emerald waters of the Lanjiang River seem to be at your feet, and the mountains, rivers, fields, and villages spread out in a crisscross pattern.
Hiking up along the ancient trail, you will see the redbud flowers that stretch for more than ten miles, which are characterized by seclusion, elegance, antiquity and mystery. The rocks in the area are strange and have different shapes; the forests are lush and fragrant; and there are lakes and ponds everywhere, with shimmering water.
In March and April, vast expanses of wild redbuds burst into bloom at Zhuanlun Rock. A 20-kilometer hike through Yuandong Taohuawu offers a spectacular floral spectacle. Over 1,000 mu (approximately 1,000 mu) of peach trees, in full bloom, are a truly spectacular sight.
