My Taining adventure began at a homestay named "Floral Hotel·Luxury Shengjing," a place as poetic in its name as it is breathtaking in its environment and service. Nestled among rolling mountains and lush greenery, the homestay greets guests with the melodious chorus of birds at dawn, as if placing you at the heart of nature. The entire property is a renovated state-owned coal mine from the 1970s, retaining its original stone elements and featuring a massive natural spring-water pool—perfect for summer. Every detail reflects the owner's pursuit of beauty and care for guests.

Dragon King Rock: A Mystical Land of Ancient Legends
Facing the homestay is Dragon King Rock. Originally, I planned to visit Dajin Lake, but upon the owner's recommendation, I embarked on an adventure to Dragon King Rock. Steeped in myth, this site is said to be the ancient dwelling of the Dragon King, exuding a sacred and solemn aura. A temple named Dragon King Rock stands on the mountain, and gazing up at the cliff from below sparks endless imagination, marveling at the harmony between nature and human ingenuity. Climbing to the summit rewards you with a breathtaking sea of clouds.

Huangshi Temple: A Sanctuary for the Soul
A short distance from Dragon King Rock lies Huangshi Temple, an ancient monastery with a rich history and thriving incense offerings. Stepping inside, a serene and peaceful energy envelops you. This was once the study place of scholar Jiang Ricai, who later passed the imperial exams. Here, you can listen to the morning bells and evening drums, feel the boundless wisdom of Buddhism, or meditate in tranquility, washing away worldly worries.

Ganlu Retreat: Savoring the Art of Buddhist Philosophy
Nestled amid Taining's verdant mountains and clear waters, Ganlu Retreat is surrounded by dense forests, with the faint fragrance of plants lingering in the air. The first rays of morning sunlight pierce through the treetops, illuminating the quiet courtyard, creating a scene of perfect harmony.
