Taipei Performing Arts Center - Avant-garde, modern new landmark in Taipei

The Taipei Performing Arts Center is located next to Shilin Night Market and will officially open in 2022. It was designed by the Dutch Metropolitan Architecture firm. The building has an avant-garde appearance, is modern and a bit sci-fi, and is like a pearl growing in a building. It is very special. The public has mixed reviews on its appearance, with some describing it as "century egg tofu" or "meatballs".

In addition, the facade of the Beijing Art Center uses nearly 1,200 pieces of double-layer curved glass, which is not only beautiful but also has heat-insulating and UV-blocking functions, adding a modern and practical feel to the building. The overall design aims to promote the use of public space and coexist harmoniously with the surrounding environment, becoming a new landmark in Taipei City.
