Walking up along the MRT station, you will soon arrive at Beitou Park, and the Beitou Hot Spring Museum hidden in it unexpectedly fascinated me. This two-story building, made of red bricks and wooden structures, was formerly the Beitou Public Bathhouse. It was then known as the "Hot Spring Dragon Palace of Taiwan" and has witnessed the rise and fall of Beitou's hot spring culture.

The museum is divided into two floors. The first floor has a high wooden roof and a Japanese-style space covered with tatami. Walking downstairs, the spacious stone bath comes into view. The walls have restored scenes from the past, and with the clever use of interactive devices, one can imagine the travelers of the past sitting around the pool, soaking in the hot spring and chatting. It's really cute!
This is not just a museum, but more like a time capsule of hot spring culture. If you are interested in Beitou’s history and hot spring culture, I really recommend coming here to take a walk and feel the temperature of time carried by this hot spring house. It is definitely worth it.
