A tour of architecture through time

#Taipei Itinerary
Day 1: Historical Memory of Taipei Hotel
In the morning, stroll through the center of Taipei and arrive at the magnificent Taipei Hotel. This building, which was built during the Japanese colonial period, combines Baroque style with East Asian elements and is a representative work of modern Taiwanese architecture. Passing through the gate, what comes into view is a green courtyard, which complements the elegant building. The towering ceilings and gorgeous chandeliers inside seem to bring people back to the prosperous times a hundred years ago. The tour guide introduced the history of this place as the governor's residence and a reception center for foreign guests, which gave me a deeper understanding of its historical value. In the afternoon, we walked to the nearby Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. The blue sky in the square formed a sharp contrast with the pure white of the building, which made people feel respectful.
Day 2: Explore the city’s green oasis and cultural atmosphere
The next day, take a leisurely walk to visit Dadaocheng and experience the nostalgic atmosphere of the old street. Take a stroll along Dihua Street, admire the well-preserved arcades and specialty shops, and taste traditional delicacies. In the afternoon, we went to Huashan Cultural and Creative Park, where various exhibitions and cultural and creative shops are gathered, making people linger. As the sun sets, take a stroll to the 228 Peace Park. This oasis in the city has witnessed a turning point in Taiwan’s history and is both quiet and profound. This two-day trip allowed me to feel the history and culture of Taipei amidst its prosperity.
