The Taipei Public Library Beitou Branch is located in Beitou Park in Beitou District, Taipei City. The library consists of one underground floor and two above-ground floors, hidden in a green park. The exterior of the entire building is constructed with wood and an internal steel structure. The Beitou Branch was selected as one of the 25 most beautiful public libraries in the world and one of the "10 coolest green buildings in the world" in 2012 and 2015 respectively. The geographical location of the library was taken into consideration when the building was renovated, which resulted in this environmentally friendly green library.
