🍽 Restaurant: Dadaocheng LurouFan
📍 Address: No. 17, Lane 220, Chang'an West Road, Datong District, Taipei City
⏰ Business hours: 11:30-20:00 daily (closed on Mondays)
💡 Suggestions:
👉 It is recommended to arrive early or avoid peak hours (12:00-13:00 noon)
👉 It is recommended to travel with more than two people so that more side dishes can be shared. You don't have to worry about not being able to eat a large bowl of rice
👉 The ordering is not the traditional way of drawing on the paper, you can directly scan the QR code on the corner of the table, and you can LINE after ordering Pay online or pay cash at the door, reflecting modern convenience without losing traditional flavor
👉The environment may be crowded, so leave after eating and let the next person in. Popular shops with long queues will make people feel rushed
👉Queue up opposite the store, and you can go in and sit at the designated table number in about 15 minutes, but it was a bit windy that day, so remember to wear more clothes in advance

🍴Taiwanese flavor is the fragrance that has been stewed into time
Dadaocheng Braised Pork Rice, founded in 1958, is an old snack shop hidden in the alleys of Datong District. The inheritance of three generations of braised meat is a famous old braised meat restaurant near Taipei Back Train Station, and it has become the familiar salty and smooth taste in the memory of many people.

Hidden between the retro street scene and the literary bookstores in Dadaocheng, it not only retains the foundation of Taiwan's food culture, but also uses a modern system ordering mode and friendly service attitude, so that every traveler can taste this "thick taste" at ease.

🍽️ Recommended dishes
🥢 Braised pork rice / I ordered the lean braised pork, which was thickly cut and braised until tender but not mushy. The fat and lean parts blended well, and the fat was rich but not greasy at all. Unlike the braised pork rice, it was served with braised dried bean curd, pickled cabbage and pickled cucumbers. The sour, sweet and crisp taste just balanced the richness of the meat, making people want to eat one bite after another.
🥢 Braised pork rice / A large bowl of braised pork rice is only NT$45. If you order it a la carte, the portion is a bit small for an adult man. The braised pork has a fat-lean ratio of 7:3, and it is braised to a translucent black gold, rich in gelatin, and melts in your mouth. The braised pork rice in this restaurant is slightly sticky and salty. If you are not sharing with others, you can choose to order braised pork and braised tofu separately, and the portion will be just right.
🥢 Braised oil tofu + dried bean curd / The braised dried bean curd is quite flavorful, and each piece absorbs the aroma of the sauce, with a solid and chewy texture. The braised tofu is full of marinade on the outside and tender on the inside, which goes really well with rice!
🥢 Radish and pork ribs soup / The soup is sweet, the radish is cooked until soft and tasty, and the pork ribs are stewed just right, the meat is tender and has a bone fragrance, and it tastes quite refreshing.

🗺️ Transportation
In addition to Uber, you can take the MRT from Taipei Station to Dadaocheng Braised Pork Rice, walk through the underground street and exit from Exit Y13/Y15, and walk about 5 to 7 minutes to arrive. You can also walk about 7 minutes from Exit 2 of Beimen Station to the store.
