While walking down Taipei's charming Yongkang Street (永康街), you'll spot an unusual dim sum restaurant.
It's a local favorite called Hogongdo Jinjiyuan (好公道金雞園).
The name is a bit confusing, but after trying one of the dumplings, you'll immediately understand why it's so popular.

The skin is thin, and the meat is juicy.
You can tell each dumpling was made with care, and the prices are reasonable.
It's a truly authentic restaurant, even though it's located in the middle of a tourist area, frequented by many locals.
