【Taipei】 Shaoshuai Zen Garden

The Shaoshuai Zen Garden is located in Beitou. You can take a bus or taxi from the Xinbeitou MRT Station to the mountain. The Shaoshuai Zen Garden was originally the residence of Zhang Xueliang during his confinement. The architectural style incorporates strong Japanese elements and is infused with Zen design concepts to create a quiet and elegant atmosphere. Zhang Xueliang spent a period of confinement here. Later, this place was transformed into a cultural attraction, allowing today's tourists to walk into history and feel the traces left by that time. The entrance ticket of 200 yuan can be used as a consumption, but we don't need to pay for the ticket if we make an appointment for the hot spring house. After entering the gate, you have to walk up a flight of stairs to enter, and along the way it feels like you are in a Japanese garden.
The hot spring house is very large. In addition to a large bath, there are also reclining chairs and dressing tables. The spring of Shuangxi Hot Spring House is white sulfur spring, which is a slightly acidic pH spring with a milky white color. It has a slightly sulfur smell and is not pungent. It is commonly known as milk soup or beauty soup.
