During this trip, which was primarily for work purposes, I didn’t have much time for sightseeing. However, even with limited time, I wanted to make sure to enjoy some delicious food. Since my return flight was in the evening, I had a little extra time to spare.
Mango shaved ice is not something you can easily find in Japan, so it’s a must-try when visiting Taiwan.
The area around Zhongshan Station (also within walking distance from Taipei Main Station) generally has higher prices, but the shaved ice here was about 1,000 yen in Japanese currency.
I searched for '芒果冰' (mango shaved ice) at Taipei Main Station and found several options, eventually deciding on this shop. Its rating was around 3-3.5, so I didn’t have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. It suited my taste and was delicious.
The shaved ice had an amazing crunch, topped with fresh mango, condensed milk, and vanilla ice cream. For mango lovers, it’s addictive!
The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was cozy, and the interior had a simple yet stylish design. When I ordered, they noticed I was Japanese and kindly provided a menu written in Japanese.
With its convenient location, I’d definitely visit again.
*If you search for '21街冰棧,' you’ll find detailed information, so be sure to check it out! 🥰
