This attraction is a must-see for everyone in Taiwan. My child was still in a stroller when I came here when he was over a year old. Now I have to pay for admission, haha! Time flies!

Ages 0-5 and 65+: Free; Ages 6-11: $50; Taipei residents: $60; General admission: $100

I recommend avoiding Mondays, as many of the zoos are closed on rotating days.

If it falls on a public holiday, we'll postpone our visit to Tuesday.

Our family always makes sure to see the giant panda, koala, and penguin enclosures. Many people choose to take the tourist train to the Taipei Zoo station to begin their visit. The fare is only $5, saving both time and effort!

After all, walking on hot or rainy days is painful, haha.

There are no pangolins in the Pangolin Pavilion, but the building is beautiful.

There's a capybara, a new favorite among kids.

There are also plenty of pheasants to accompany you on your stroll, which is fun!

If you're feeling too hot, you can head to the Giant Panda House. The air conditioning there is the best I've ever experienced. There are also new shops and restaurants on the second floor, as well as a nice rest area. Walking around, I noticed a lot of water dispensers and vending machines, which is great. There are also a lot of new snacks at the restaurant, all at very reasonable prices. They even have Jiguang Xiangxiang Chicken and Log Cabin Pancakes. You won't feel like you're being ripped off at a tourist attraction.

As for parking, we had to walk quite a distance during our weekend trip. Guoyun Parking (MRT Muzha Depot Parking Lot) is open only on weekends. At $120 per trip, a visit to the zoo will easily take over four hours. It's a pretty good deal! I highly recommend it.
