There are two ways to travel from Taitung to Lanyu. One is to take a small plane from Taitung Airport, and the other is to take a boat from Taitung Fugang Fishing Port to Lanyu Kaiyuan Port.
First, go online to order the boat ticket, arrive at the pier service office half an hour in advance to pick up the ticket, and then walk to the boat boarding area to board the boat. There are many types of boats heading to Lanyu, including Green Island Star, Sheng Green Island, Triumph, Uranus... Most of them are sightseeing boats that can carry about 200 people. The whole sea journey takes about 2 and a half hours. If you are seasick, remember to take seasickness medicine~
