A Walk Through Time at Liu Mingchuan Tunnel

#chinatravel The Liu Mingchuan Tunnel is one of those spots that’s low key cool if you’re into history or just want something different. I wasn’t expecting much, but walking through the tunnel was actually pretty awesome. It’s super quiet, a little spooky, and full of that old, mysterious vibe. The tunnel dates back to the Qing Dynasty, and it’s wild to think trains used to run through here.
The lighting inside is subtle but just enough to see where you’re going. The walk isn’t long, but it feels like stepping into a piece of the past. There’s a small park area nearby too, so it’s a nice place to just chill and take a break. It’s not flashy or touristy, but that’s kind of the charm. If you’re around Keelung and want something unusual and mellow, this place is a cool little side trip.
