Taiwan, North Hehuan Mountain 3422m, access to trailhead by bus

Access: From Taichung, take a bus via Puri, Cingjing Farm, and the National Guest House. If you're staying at Puri and leaving around 6:00 AM, connect with the morning bus from the National Guest House to Xiaofengkou. From there, take a Nantou Bus bus to the Management Center or Xiaofengkou. The trailhead is 10 minutes further on. It takes just under two hours to reach the summit of North Hehuan Mountain. Photos 1-4 offer great views to the west from the peak 10 minutes west of the summit. Photo 5 is from the summit of North Hehuan Mountain.

Nantou Bus only runs three round trips per day from the National Guest House. Since it's a minibus with a capacity of about 20 people, reservations are required. Prepayment is not required. Just board under the name of the person making the reservation and tap your EasyCard to board. No application is required to climb Hehuan Mountain. #TaiwanHiking

Tourist Spots: For a two-day hike in the Hehuan Mountain area, I recommend climbing North Hehuan Mountain and Hehuan Mountain's East Peak (3,421m). The trailhead for the eastern peak is near Wuling, next to Hehuan Mountain Villa, and the climb takes about 1.5 hours.
Hotels: There are few cheap accommodations in the Qingjing Farm area. A lodging with an attached hot pot restaurant in Fu Jia Guoyuan cost 1,300 NTD. Considering the cost of accommodation, it may be better to return to Puri every evening even if you are climbing for more than two days.
Food & Restaurants: There are many eateries in the Qingjing Farm area.
