Taiyuan Sheraton | Chose it over JW and InterContinental

Before going to a new place, hotel bloggers also like to read hotel reviews on Trip.com, and then write about their real feelings from their own perspective.

There are currently four Marriott hotels in Taiyuan: Fairfield, Courtyard, and the newly opened Sheraton and JW Marriott in 2024.

It was my first time in Taiyuan, and I chose the latter among JW, InterContinental, and Sheraton, 🍜 just for a bowl of noodles for breakfast.

In fact, I can't say I made the right choice (because I haven't experienced the other two), but at least I didn't make the wrong choice or step on a landmine.

📍I don't know if the location is good, I'm not familiar with Taiyuan, it's close to the airport, and there's a subway station downstairs. It's about a 15-minute drive to Shanxi Museum and the commercial street.

🏨The lobby is not a very high design, and the area is not large. Open shared space, suitable for office, leisure, and business. The executive club has a feeling of a living room at home, and the afternoon tea provides a small set of desserts 🍮, the coffee is also served with good tableware, and other fruit juices and soft drinks can be taken by yourself.

🛏️I needed to wait for a suite, so I was arranged a room on the executive floor (I heard the suite is better?). The overall design is a wood tone + minimalist interior style, I knocked on the walls, they are all solid, the decoration details are also very textured, and the materials are exquisite. It seems that the owner is still strong and willing to spend money. The intelligent integrated guest control system allows you to call for service without making a phone call, which is a blessing for people. The spacious bathroom in black, white, and gray tones with the modern black Hansgrohe bathroom series highlights the style and calmness. But the choice of dental appliances and soap is slightly lacking, the disposable toothbrush 🪥 can only be used once, and the soap will break into lumps after two uses.

🏊I didn't use the gym and pool due to time constraints, but the standard configuration is definitely indispensable.

🍲The breakfast is rich in variety and tastes mediocre, but there are a few things that need to be mentioned separately, tomato knife-cut noodles ➕ beef, lamb offal soup, and almond croissant 👍.

It seems that there is a noodle restaurant open to the public, you can go there just for noodles even if you don't stay at the hotel, and Deng Ziqi has also eaten there.
