I've been to Twin Pagoda Park five times and finally figured it out.

Here are some tips for visiting Taiyuan Twin Pagoda Park:

Preparation

• Gather Information: The park is free to enter. Yongzuo Temple tickets are CNY 30 during peak season and CNY 20 during the off-season. Opening hours are generally 8:30 am to 5:30 pm in summer and 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in winter.

• Transportation: Take bus No. 820, 812, etc., and get off at the corresponding stop, or drive/take a taxi and navigate to the north gate of Twin Pagoda Park.

Suggested Routes

• History and Culture Tour: Enter from the north gate, visit Yongzuo Temple, admire the beam-free architecture of the Mahavira Hall, appreciate the calligraphy steles of Yan Zhenqing and other masters in Baoxian Hall, and climb the Xuanwen Pagoda for a panoramic view.

• Red Education Tour: Enter from the east gate and visit the Liberation of Taiyuan Martyrs Monument, the Twin Pagoda Martyrs Cemetery, and the Gao Junyu Sculpture Square.

• Leisure Sightseeing Tour: Enter from the west gate, stroll along the lake, enjoy the scenery of the lake and pagodas, pavilions, and towers, and relax on the lawn or in the woods.

Other Experiences

• Photo Spots: Take photos of the Yongzuo Temple gate and the twin pagodas at the north gate, the gate tower at the south gate, and the reflection of the twin pagodas in the lake at the south gate.

• Collect Stamps: You can collect stamps at the Twin Pagoda Park Volunteer Service Center, the Yongzuo Temple ticket office, and the cultural and creative store inside Yongzuo Temple.
