[Okinawa] Star sand beach found on a remote island

This time, we will introduce "Star Sand Beach" on Taketomi Island, an isolated island in the Yaeyama Islands, Okinawa Prefecture.

The official name of the beach is Kaiji Beach, but it is called Star Sand Beach because star-shaped "star sand" is harvested there. Can you see it on the hand in the photo?

In addition to star sand, the beach also has other attractions such as swings and large trees that make use of nature.

Taketomi Island, where Star Sand Beach is located, is about 10 minutes by high-speed boat from Ishigaki Island, so you can go there as a day trip from Ishigaki Island.

You can travel around the island by ox cart or rent a bicycle, so be sure to take a tour of the island after visiting Star Sand Beach♪
