Estonia is one of the three Baltic states.
It's a small European country with a somewhat lesser-known tourist destination.
The Old Town of Tallinn, Estonia's capital, is a World Heritage Site and is a truly fascinating city.
Here are some of the city's tourist attractions!
1. St. Olaf's Church (1st photo)
This church boasts a 124-meter-tall tower.
It sits quietly just outside the city center.
It's the tallest building in Tallinn, and there's an observation deck at the top, offering panoramic views of the city!
However, you can only climb it for about six months, from April to October.
The best time to take photos is in the afternoon!
2. Fat Margareta (2nd & 3rd photos)
This turret has a rather cute name, and was apparently built to protect the city from attacks from the sea.
As its name suggests, it's a rather chubby tower, lol.
The walls are said to be about 5 meters thick!
The shape of the building makes you want to take photos.
Definitely stop by!
③ Cute Walls and Windows (Photo 4)
This isn't a particularly popular tourist spot, but! Estonian buildings are decorated in soft, pastel colors.
The cityscape is like a fairytale.
Walking through these charming towns, you're sure to find a house or shop with a door or window you love.
Estonia is simply the perfect place for a girls' trip!
④ Ferry across the Baltic Sea (Photo 5)
In fact, Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, is a day trip away from Helsinki!
Across the Baltic Sea is Helsinki, Finland.
A two-hour ferry ride between the capitals. 🙆♀️
I also visited Tallinn on a day trip from Helsinki.
From the ferry window, the blue sea stretches out endlessly, offering a truly serene and beautiful view.
There's a band playing on the ferry, so you can enjoy a coffee or a drink while you cruise along the waters. ⛴️
If you're visiting Helsinki, be sure to stop by Tallinn as well!
