This is not an exhibition hall, it's a flood retention pond! The underground world is so beautiful!

It turns out that there is such an "underground secret base" hidden in a place that we can't see in our daily lives!
The "Secret Water Base" is a B detention pond project built by the Taoyuan City Water Affairs Bureau to solve the flooding problem in the Houzhan and Guishan Industrial Park. The entire space is located about 9 meters underground, which is equivalent to three or four stories high. Not only is it powerful, the light and shadow design inside also creates a spectacular atmosphere like an underground palace, making people unable to resist taking photos as soon as they walk in!

Currently, Detention Pond B can be visited on weekdays by online reservation, and prior registration is required. On the day of the visit, the staff will first play an introductory video to explain in detail the functions and operations of the three detention ponds A, B, and C, and then lead everyone to visit the "Secret Base of Water" on site.

In addition to the enclosed structure of Pool B, the A and C detention pools are open in design. They usually exist in the form of parks and are transformed into water storage spaces during heavy rains, thus achieving the dual functions of "resting in normal times and flood prevention during rainy days".

The entire visit takes about 30-40 minutes. Although the guided tour is brief, you can still get a basic understanding of urban flood prevention. If we can add more displays, case photos, etc. in the future, I believe it will attract more parent-child and educational groups to participate!
