When you visit Tianshui, Gansu, don’t just go to Maijishan! This hidden gem, Yuquan Temple, is absolutely stunning, with fewer crowds, beautiful scenery, and perfect photo opportunities 🤩
🏯 Quick Guide:
Yuquan Temple is located in Qinzhou District, Tianshui City. It is a famous Taoist temple in Northwest China, originally built during the Yuan Dynasty. The buildings are constructed along the mountain, layered and full of charm. The most recommended spots are the Sanqing Hall and the Jade Emperor Pavilion. The ancient architecture with flying eaves and upturned corners looks especially beautiful under the sunlight! Don’t forget to bring a wide-angle lens—every shot is a masterpiece.

Personal Experience:
There are really very few people! No need to worry about crowds—you can stroll and take photos at your own pace. The sound of wind chimes can be heard everywhere inside the temple, very soothing. There’s a small pavilion behind the temple; climb up for a panoramic view of Tianshui city—amazing sight~

After descending, head to Minzhu Road Snack Street to try Tianshui’s specialty guagua (a type of buckwheat noodle snack) and halal barbecue—delicious and affordable!
