[Tokyo] Visit Asakusa Shrine!

\\Popular tourist area of Asakusa//
This shrine is located within the grounds of Sensoji Temple, the symbol of Asakusa, which is visited by tourists from Japan and abroad. Originally it was located together with Sensoji Temple, but in the Meiji era, the Shinbutsu Bunri Edict was issued and the name of the shrine was changed to Sansha Myojinja. It later became the current Asakusa Shrine.

The deities enshrined are the three gods Himehama Hamanari, Haji Manaka Tomo, and Himehama Takenari. In the Asakusa area, there are many shrines that do not usually have a priest on-site, called dual-purpose shrines. Asakusa Shrine is a rare shrine that serves eight shrines at the same time.
