Laojun Ligou is located within the Huashan Scenic Area, south of Yuquan Road in Huayin City, Weinan City, Shaanxi Province. Ancient texts record the line "ploughing is more dangerous than climbing, climbing is more dangerous than climbing." Laojun Ligou is a treacherous, unfathomable ditch wedged between steep cliffs, with over 570 stone steps. Legend has it that when the Jade Emperor passed by this spot, seeing no path to pass, he brought a green ox and plowed the ravine overnight.
Huayin has a pleasant climate with four distinct seasons and an average annual temperature of 13.7 degrees Celsius, making it a great place to travel in any season.
