Mitsukoshi Ginza – The Ultimate Tokyo Department Store Food Court

To be honest, I didn’t go shopping that day.
I went to Mitsukoshi Ginza just to check out the "food court."
But… the moment I stepped inside, my eyes popped wide open 👀
There were so many delicious things and a ton of desserts I wanted to buy!

🍰 Dessert & Gift Heaven

I walked around once, twice, and ended up circling the food court three times.

Chocolate, traditional Japanese sweets, premium desserts, fruit jelly, baked goods…
The variety is huge and the designs are beautiful, making them perfect for gifts.

In my opinion, it had more variety, luxury, and prettier selections than Shinjuku Isetan.
Especially if you’re looking for chocolate gifts, I highly recommend this place.

🍱 Lunch is sorted at the department store!

No need to go to other restaurants.
You can buy a little bit of everything here and eat it on the 8th-floor terrace.
(Staff will kindly guide you if you ask.)

There’s a huge selection including bento boxes, tempura, sushi, butadon, onigiri, and more.

You can also buy desserts and enjoy a relaxing meal on the garden terrace.

Japan really knows how to decorate these terrace spaces so you can rest comfortably.

💡 Pro Tip

If you want Japanese-style, sophisticated gift foods that are better than airport duty-free, this is the place.

The packaging is pretty, and there are lots of brand samples, making it easy to choose.

They’re friendly to foreigners and provide smooth duty-free procedures.

💬 Overall Review

Mitsukoshi Ginza isn’t just a department store; it’s like a 'food dessert expo.'
Luxuriously and neatly displayed foods,
a variety of desserts and gifts,
and a small urban picnic on the terrace.

I definitely want to go back again.
Especially the desserts’ visuals and quality are truly top-notch.
Highly recommended for those who go to buy delicious things rather than just shop. 🍡🍓🍰
