Hebikubo Shrine (Kamishinmei Tenso Shrine) is a shrine located in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, dedicated to the white snake and known for blessings of financial luck, good fortune, and protection from evil. We introduce Hebikubo Shrine, a place you especially want to visit in 2025, the Year of the Snake ⛩️
◾️ Divine virtues of success and advancement 🐍
Within the shrine grounds, there is the "Nade White Snake," which is effective for regeneration, revival of energy, and good fortune, like a snake shedding its skin. The snake is said to become a dragon (meaning "standing tall"), bringing success and promotion through the "Hebikubo Dragon God," and there is also the White Snake Benzaiten, which grants blessings for prosperous wealth. There are many highlights to see. There are also plenty of snake-related amulets and fortunes to choose from 😌
◾️ The beloved White Snake of Tokyo’s cityscape ✨
According to legend, the white snake that lived in the washing place where spring water wells up in the shrine grounds moved to the current Togoshi Park. Along the path said to be the white snake’s route (now the station-front shopping street), there are also spots to visit such as Ohara Fudoson, which is said to have been a water drinking place for the white snake to rest.
In the shopping street, there are Japanese confectionery shops and cafes selling snake-related products, making it a perfect spot to take a break during your visit 🍘
This is truly a power spot where the white snake ties people’s wishes together. In the Year of the Snake 2025, why not pay a visit yourself? 😌
