Located in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, "Kashima Shrine"⛩️
Although it is situated along Ikegami Street, which has relatively heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic, once you pass through the torii gate and enter the precincts, you are enveloped in a quiet and pure atmosphere surrounded by green trees🌱
There are many historic old trees, and the traditional beautiful scenery is still preserved!
The temizuya (water pavilion) near the entrance has water spurting up from below, a new style I had never seen before👀
The main hall, rebuilt before the war and made of cypress wood, has a dignified and magnificent appearance! On the right, the old main hall enclosed by a protective roof still exists, allowing you to see the buildings that have woven history up close. Also, it is worshipped as a god of traffic and travel safety, and many people visit for car blessings🚗
*Additionally, there is a stone monument inscribed with "Furoumon" (Immortality Gate) in the precincts... The name seems related to longevity and immortality🤔
