The most impressive moment during my trip to Tokyo was seeing the city from above. Let me introduce you to two places with different charms by day and night—Tokyo Tower and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation deck.

🗼 The classic symbol of charm, Tokyo Tower

The red steel tower standing tall is a landmark that holds Tokyo’s traditional appeal. Up close, its structure is very intricate, and the night view is especially beautiful. The view of Tokyo city from the top of the tower looked like a sparkling jewelry box.

🎫 There is an admission fee, but it’s well worth it! Especially if you visit around sunset, you can enjoy the golden Tokyo.

🏙️ Enjoy Tokyo’s panorama for free at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building observation deck

Located in Shinjuku, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building’s observation deck is surprisingly free. Plus, one of the two towers is open until 11 PM, making it perfect for night views. The forest of buildings seen from the high floors was the very essence of the cool city charm.

💡 You might see Mount Fuji during the day, and at night, the endlessly spread city lights are truly beautiful.

✨ Capturing both landscapes of Tokyo

One is classic and warm, the other modern and refined. Tokyo Tower and the Metropolitan Government Building observation deck have completely different atmospheres, but both fully capture the charm of the city called ‘Tokyo.’
