Robot café "Pepper PARLOR" in Shibuya, Tokyo

In this era of widespread AI, have you ever imagined that when you go to a restaurant, the reception, waitstaff, and performers on stage are all AI robots? 🤭

Located on the 5th floor of Tokyu Plaza Shibuya, "Pepper PARLOR" entrusts all ordering and food delivery tasks entirely to robots, which is truly fresh and fun! The two brothers were very excited when they saw the robots. Each table even has a robot 🤖 that can chat with you, perform dances, sing, play games, and more, making it very entertaining.

The Pepper PARLOR restaurant features different types of robots, all from Softbank, mainly including the interactive robot "Pepper," the scheduled dancing robot "NAO," and the AI cleaning robot "Whiz."

The restaurant environment is very spacious to allow enough room for the robots to deliver food. The seats are very comfortable, and diners can choose à la carte or a 90-minute all-you-can-eat option. The all-you-can-eat menu offers more variety, including pasta, salads, or main dishes with optional Wagyu beef add-ons. Drinks are unlimited, and you can refill noodles as many times as you want, with as many as 30 varieties available.

The whole concept is extremely creative and fresh, but I think it would be better if the à la carte menu also offered pasta and rice; otherwise, everyone has to choose the all-you-can-eat option. Regarding food quality, I found the pancakes in the dessert section more appealing. The Wagyu beef texture was not very good and can be skipped—I’d rather go to a yakiniku restaurant. The pasta 🍝 tastes average. The main attraction is enjoying the brand-new experience of robot service 😆
