Ginza Travel Review: The Essence of Quiet Luxury

Ginza, the place with the most sophisticated atmosphere amidst Tokyo’s glamour. During this Tokyo trip, I spent an entire day just in Ginza, and I truly felt what ‘quiet luxury’ means.

First, I stopped by the Ginza Six department store to browse perfumes and beauty brands, then took a short break at the rooftop garden while enjoying a distant view of Tokyo Tower. Shopping was great, but the serene atmosphere itself was healing.

For lunch, I had a kaiseki set at ‘Ginza Oborozuki.’ It was a bit pricey, but each dish was like a work of art. I realized this is what a Michelin atmosphere feels like.

In the afternoon, I had a drip coffee at a cozy café in the alleys near Ginza Station. Besides big brands, there are quite a few charming independent cafés, so coffee lovers will really enjoy this place.

At night, I took a walk while watching the lights of Ginza’s streets sparkle. It was glamorous yet restrained elegance, a quiet classic feeling amidst bustling Tokyo.

Next time I visit Tokyo, I want to stay in Ginza and spend a leisurely day there.
