Ueno is a major station in central Tokyo, where you can transfer to various destinations. Nearby attractions include:

- Ueno Park = A large public park, where flowers bloom beautifully each season. During the cherry blossom season, it's a popular place to take photos. There are also temples and shrines to pay respects to, such as Hanazono Inari Shrine in Ueno, a small but charming Shinto shrine hidden within Ueno Park. He is the god of fertility, agriculture, and rice. In Japan, every Inari shrine has a beautiful red/orange torii gate. ⛩️ / Shinobazu Pond, with a history dating back to the Edo period, is a beautiful water feature hidden among buildings. The pond is divided into three sections: the Lotus Pond, the Boat Pond, and the Pelican Pond. If you're lucky enough to visit during the summer, the pond is filled with deep green and pink lotuses, as well as turtles. 🐢 / The art museum has numerous exhibits.
