Imperial Palace East Garden

#tokyospots

The Imperial Palace East Garden is a beautiful combination of history and nature. Walking through its expansive grounds, I could feel the deep connection to Japan’s past—it’s part of the old Edo Castle, with stone walls, gates, and moats still standing. The gardens are impeccably maintained, with seasonal flowers that make every visit unique. I especially enjoyed sitting by the large pond, listening to the wind rustling through the trees while skyscrapers loomed in the distance. The contrast between modern Tokyo and this historic, tranquil site is striking. It’s free to enter, and honestly, one of the best calm escapes in central Tokyo.
