[Tokyo 🇯🇵 Imperial Palace] I went to see the Imperial Palace!

#TravelWithPochikatsu

I went to see the Imperial Palace in Tokyo ☺️

Imperial Palace tours are held twice a day (afternoon tours canceled from July to September).

Pre-registration capacity: 200 people per tour
On-site registration capacity: 300 people per tour (first-come, first-served, numbered tickets distributed)

I lined up on the day because the pre-registration capacity was reached.

*It's recommended to arrive early as there's a long line.

I arrived about 40 minutes before the scheduled ticket distribution time, and was around 50th or 60th in line.

Once inside, there's a baggage inspection and an explanation of the tour.
*Proof of identity required

Languages available: Japanese, Chinese, Korean, English, French

Each tour is accompanied by a guide, so you can tour with a guide who speaks your preferred language.

The tour takes about an hour and a half and includes views of the Fujimi Yagura Tower, the exterior of the Imperial Palace, and Nijubashi Bridge.

It was a fun experience experiencing history.

It was free, even though it included a guide! 😳
