A quiet solo adventure led me to the Former Ministry of Justice Building, a striking red-brick landmark in Tokyo that I’d long wanted to explore. I visited the Legal Materials Exhibition Room, which is open to the public free of charge — a wonderful opportunity to step inside and appreciate this beautiful piece of Meiji-era architecture.

Inside, I was captivated by the restored rooms, reconstructed from old photographs. The high ceilings, elegant wooden furnishings, and refined atmosphere gave the space an air of timeless dignity.
